GRC Index was founded in 2020 by James Bone, founder of the Cognitive Risk Framework for Cybersecurity and Enterprise Risk Management. In the midst of the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic the idea for the GRCIndex was born.
Conceived as a cybersecurity and enterprise risk research nonprofit has morphed into a technology, cybersecurity, and ERM firm still dedicated to understanding how technology is used to manage risks, including cyber risk. But, more importantly, how humans use and interact with technology may be more important.
GRC Index is a 501c3 nonprofit risk research foundation dedicated to transparency in GRC and prevailing ERM Risk Frameworks.
Our research is based on the premise that human factor risk design is a critical lever in balancing decision-making and business values in organizational performance.
The GRCIndex is a managed security services provider partnering with top tier technology firms to provide small, medium, and large organizations, governmental agencies, and academia to provide evidence based outcomes in cybersecurity and enterprise risk with a twist!
The difference at GRCIndex is our focus on the role of cognition in organizational performance, from the boardroom to the cubicle, smart teams excel because of the tools they use. Selecting the right tools in a dynamic market requires a keen vision for the strategic goals for success.
GRC Index, d.b.a. Cognitive Risk Institute, is an independent, nonprofit research corporation organized under 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Board of Directors defines broad policy and direction, and a four-member Executive Committee develops policy and oversees management of the organization.
